Hopefully I can get my incubator and get it calibrated and get some eggs if so I'm in. Going to get incubator Friday since all mine need work and turners but found one with turners for a good price

New incubators are very exciting!

I had stopped setting eggs for the cold season but then got the itch to do some more and then remembered this hatch-along I was told about is coming up and dashed over here to check. I am so glad I did! Yay for hatching fun!

I set up christmas lights last week for the two breeding pens. They are on a timer so hopefully mine will keep laying. The Partridge Penes are being free loaders!

WOW just found this years NYDH thread and already 15 pages behind lol I have a lot to catch up on.

Im not sure if I will participate this year or not but I will be joining in on the conversations.

I'm just getting a used but still working little giant I think. Square foam one that are sold in tractor supply. That should work until I can build my cabinet one

They provide extra light for the hens to trick them into thinking the days are longer so they continue laying.

Yes!

Or for some of them, to start back up after resting for 2 months. I also have some Point of lay pullets that are ready to start and I really want them to start laying eggs.
