Thank youI agree. I had a broody a few months ago that was a first time broody, she kicked random eggs out almost everyday by accident. They were often cold by the time I found them and I just slid them back under her. They hatched on days 21 and 22.
I wish you luck and hope she hatches them for you with no more difficulties.
Okay, just let us know 2 days before you candle and someone will go ahead and call 911 for ya 2 days later.Ok..this is getting crazy...we are either going to have to play the quiet game...or 1 of u astro nerds will need to start a hatch along chat thread...when i candle these alligator eggs and get bit.....it will take yall 2 days to catch up enough to call 911 for me
Me too! I just smell em. But never EVER in front of non chicken people.Quote:
I usually just smell them instead of candling. Don't do it when anyone is around though... Especially non-chicken people...
RoanWell, because of what Ron said on here about storing eggs before incubating, I went ahead and candled half of them. I'm sorry I did. Ignorance is bliss but unfortunately, I saw only 2 with possible life. I guess it's a lesson learned. Thanks again, Ron. I'll know better than to refrigerate them next time and only collect for 7 days prior to setting to ensure that the majority of them will hatch.
