6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I have my eggs lined up! I will be getting some Pita Pinta and some more from a laying flock composed of Langshan and Langshan/PP crosses.. Love the PP hoping for purebred Langshan in the mix and super hoping for a splash Langshan to show up but whatever I get I will be happy!

I am really pleased with them Ron and grateful to you for getting them out of egg shells for me. The Konza pullets are HUGE. I would guess that they will be able to cover close to two dozen eggs when they go broody

I have bought another dozen Konza eggs from Eden Camp and am waiting for one of my bigger proven girls to go broody for her to send them to me. Then I think I will ask for your services again. When they hatch I'll pick them up and slip them under a hen.

Daphne the Pita Pinta is a delight and completely silly. So much personality!! I will be hatching a few more for the NYD hatchalong.

I'm going to join in for the hatch a long. We have had a few bad duck hatches in our Hovabator recently and I was thinking of doing a test batch soon anyway. I will be hatching from our EE hens x our purebred blue Ameraucana rooster. We would love to add some more pretty EEs to add to our flock.

yep. Just set ur eggs. No rules here. We are just all gonna hatch and share experiences day by day. Welcome aboard

I would love to try this year. It would be fun!! We have had rain for weeks now, overcast with little sun. Not getting allot of eggs, might get 3 or 4, hopefully. If anyone in northern california would like to sell some I am game. Dream list is EE, Naked Necks, Marans, Hamburgs. Thank you

okay, count me in... assuming I can get my hands on some Dorking eggs (maybe Brahmas and Cream Legbars too).

Any BYC member can join the hatch a long. Some prizes will be open to non members but most will be member only contests.

The first contest will be for the best hatch rate. That contest will be for members.

Check the first post of the thread for the list of members. Contests will be announced soon and hopefully there will be some member run contests again this year!

Hiya Blarney! I haven't deserted the PA thread, just been really busy trying to get the new cabin built. I do occasionally visit the Ohio thread, but still like the PA thread better.
