Fuzzy, it is an EE..can't tell by the photo, but the egg is a pretty blue/green color. Hope this is a girl.

I finally caught up on reading posts. I miss 2 days and spent three trying to catch up. Of my 16 originally set I have 11 locked down. A whole lot of shakin' going on in the bator.

The shaking and wriggling is always fun to see..have fun!

Day15/16 i candled the eggs and took out 2 muscovy eggs 1 clear 1 blood ring all the rest moved so 7 of 12. i candled chicken eggs and took out one with a blood ring, the rest that i could see into all moved so 7 of 11 chicken eggs. Chicken eggs go into lock down tomorrow.

Chickens will hatch over a day or three time period. It really does not matter what time you set them, the will not hatch in exactly 21 days.

I have had mixed breed hatches where the first one hatched on day 19 and the last one hatched on day 23....I was very tired....

lockdown is torture.............just hope they are doing ok still........

I hope our two broody hens are able to keep the 11 eggs warm tonight because it's gonna get in the lower 30's upper 20's here tonight.

so if you have 10 eggs and they all hatch before jan 1st you are out of the contest?

It's an EE ron..I have some sizzles in too..I'm surprised it hatched first! Those sizzle eggs are small. But again, it's only day 19.
