6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

ooooh, my brother is gonna kill me for this but...I"M DOIN' IT!!!  lol

*Walks to the hen house.*

"Okay ladies, this is it.  It's what we've been waiting for, what you've been training for.  We need eggs, lots and lots of eggs.  Gentlemen, you know what you have to do.  You can do this."

"I know I'm asking a lot but I have faith in all of you.  Now, get out there and copulate!"

"NO!!! Wait 'til I leave!  Have you no shame???"

*Covers his eyes, turns to leave and runs into the wall.*

Doh!

Hi all! If all goes well I may be back in the game. I have a sizzle, Julie Taylor, sitting on eggs right now. This will be her 3rd clutch and every one has been co-brooded by my silkie, Gracie Belle, who has either been or gone broody within a week or so of Julie.. Anyway JT has been on the nest for going on two weeks and has had eggs for 1. GB has laid a daily egg and has been up for a chunk of time each day but is hanging out with Julie in the nest box more than not for a couple of days. I am searching for Bantam Cochin or Mottled D'Uccle eggs.

hoping it all works out. I also have a Chocolate Barred Rock acting like she is thinking about it. If she goes that will make 4 broodies in my coops...I love it
