you going to share pictures :)?

well violet is being very cooperative for the hatch along she laid another egg today I'll test for fertility and keep my fingers cross :)

Test for fertility?  How do you do that?  (Other than cracking it open and looking for the white bulleye)

If I can not risk the eggs by cracking them, then I just put them in the incubator. I'm not opposed to candling the whole chicken, I just don't have a big enough flashlight.

Wait. I'm confused. If you can not risk cracking the eggs? When is it ever safe to crack and egg for incubating?

And candling a whole chicken is really a thing? I thought it was a joke! Why would you candle the whole chicken after the egg as been laid? I'm totally confused!

It was a joke!

The egg cannot be incubated if it is cracked open. The egg can be incubated for three to five days and candle it to see if it is fertile. After the rooster has been with them for two weeks, just run a test hatch.
