6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I have eggs due on the 15th and my first Dry hatch, but humidity has been around 20.... I thought with it being GA it would be higher but I guess this time of year or the heaters being on but not helping in the house much.... no idea. I hope this goes well when I up it soon!

I picked up a dozen mutts today, with the hens being a mix of EE, SLW, BO, and Buff Brama, and the roosters are either a BR, or a SLW.
Then add the 6 that my BWA over a LO, or WL gave me, as well as the 32 that I received from DMRippy, and I have a very full incubator.
I fired up my back up, but can not get the temp to go below 106, so any ideas on how I should handle the additional 8 eggs that will not fit in the trays?
Is it possible to just stack them on the side and turn manually for the first week until I am able to candle and check progress/ make room on the turners?
Any other ideas? Thanks, and looking forward to a good hatch.

I am waiting on my last chick to detach itself from the eggshell. Then I wanna clean my incubator for my nyee contest. How do I clean my styrofoam incubator so I can place my eggs tonight at midnight?

I candled my 19 duck eggs I set last week and..... All are going strong so far!

Next step...... Getting the 2 dozen RIR eggs set in the morning I just went and picked up! Everyone in the house is excited.

This hatch a long has inspired a lot of incubating for me... I had to build a larger second incubator yesterday and I set my Silkie eggs last night. My 7 HAL eggs came a day early (today!) so they will be ready to be officially set tomorrow at noon along with a few of my hen's eggs.

I was able to candle a couple of my quail eggs today, I think they are on day 5 and they are developing!!! I wasn't sure how they would do because I bought them as fertile eating eggs $2 for 10. So, of course, I got 100. I am so glad they are developing because I needed some inspiration to keep turning them all by hand 2 or 3x a day. I mostly just roll them all over. I hope I can sell some of the quail... I won't know what to do with them all if a lot hatch.

I am so excited!!

I clean them in the shower after spraying with lysol all purpose cleaner.

Humidity can go a bit high but you can set them quickly. You can also wait to set them tomorrow. The goal is to set the eggs at noon your time tomorrow but do not stress about it.
