I'm just excited that I won something. Is it for those beautiful Marans eggs? Those really really dark ones? Man, I wish I was going to keep hatching, but I won't be hatching again until the Easter Hatch A Long.

I sent some of my blue copper eggs to the Knoxville show in Tennessee . I was surprised to get these In the mail today. A second place with one and a third place with another . Our first time entering an egg show.

I couldn't wait. When I turned my eggs for the evening, they were at 103 (yipe!), so I decided that, in order to let them cool off a bit, I had no other choice but to candle them! And....
I saw the spider webs! Yay!. I think I might have one dud, but it's a dark egg, so maybe I just couldn't see the veining. The lighter eggs all have nice little veins, and the ones that are too dark to see veins had shadows, so... yipeee!

So far this is a zillion times better than my first hatch, where half of the eggs were duds (clear).
