6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

These are the eggs they lay consistent . Same color.

Those are nice, I'd love to have a few of those in my basket. My egg buyers would go crazy

Gorgeous eggs! My lone BCM pullet just finally started laying last week. She is 40 weeks old. I'm loving the dark eggs (and having an extra layer this time of year!) but hers aren't nearly as dark as those!

Congrats @Cynthia12 !! Those are some gorgeous eggs.

I sent some of my blue copper eggs to the Knoxville show in Tennessee . I was surprised to get these In the mail today. A second place with one and a third place with another . Our first time entering an egg show.

Nice job! Congrats!

I candled my Silkie eggs, too, and they looked like this, but my phone camera is not that good. They look more developed than the standard eggs. I have Silkie eggs and standard eggs in the same incubator. I didn't think about it until just now, but do Silkie eggs take less time to hatch? I read somewhere that bantams have a shorter incubation time. Is that correct?
Some bantams can hatch early, but not all of them do. Some LF can have a tendency to hatch a bit earlier (or later) as well. My EEs seem to like to hatch a day before everybody else in the incubator.

I told my kid to put a sign on the egg carton with the eggs we are saving for possible incubation.......... This is the result! Bahaha!!!!!!!!

This is the sign I want. lol!
I have wanted this sign since I first saw it. It needs to hang right on the door of my bator as a warning to would be meddlers.

Hellp Alicia,
Can't quite make out the entire note. Would you care to do a rewrite that we can read in our beloved blog? You do have an innovative boy!
Most sincerely,
Neal, the Zooman

Dang it! You guys pushed me over the edge! When I went to refill a water tray I had to shine the light into a couple of eggs. I only did a few and just stuck the light on top. I didn't take them out. But I have some veining on some of the shipped SFH!

If you go to the original picture and place your mouse pointer on the pic and left click it'll do an enlargement for you.

Edited because I am occasionally dysfunctional with right/left
