When do cockerels come into their sexual maturity? Mine will be 7 months in March. I was just thinking that I might have my very own fertile eggs for the Easter HAL!

You should have fertile eggs by then for sure! You probably already do; just check for a "bullseye" the next time you make breakfast. (I acutally had a roo fertilizing eggs at 12 weeks

, he was a quite the little stud but was sent to freezer camp due to a bad attitude)

I'm anticipating a 0% hatch rate. That way, every egg that hatches will be a bonus!

I candled the egg tonight that got dented by one of the broody hens the other day. So far I'm seeing veins and something jumping around inside the egg.

I hope it keeps on developing.
