I am eyeing some silver wnyandotte eggs....how bad of an idea to have em shipped all the way from east coast to here would it be hrmmmmm................think I wait until see if these hatch![]()
The biggest factor is often the distance to and from the air port that is used for the flight. Some hubs and USPS service centers seem worse for eggs. Atlanta is terrible!
are there signs with the egg that can show if they are over humdified? does water collect in the air cell? do the eggs sweat?
moisture on the view plate is a sign that humidity is too high.
The naked neck looks awesome!Had to post one more picture because I feel like I hit the chicken lottery! The newest chick is a naked neck! Earlier this year I lost one of my two naked necks to an impacted egg and I was so sad. Of course she was my favorite. My 2nd had just started laying when I set these eggs to hatch and since they all use the same nest I wasn't sure if any of hers were in this batch. But now I guess I know. I feel very excited and fortunate!
