By the way, only 4 so far have pipped, zipped and frizzed for me. Still waiting for any more pips. But my average is 4 eggs per clutch when I incubate so...

this time will be different since I'm still anticipating a 0% hatch rate.

The four that are hatched don't count toward the hatch rate because they are all bonus chicks.

I heard DH calling a few minutes ago and I said, "where ARE you!".. "In here!!" He says.

In the floor. Of the closet. With a flashlight shining in the bator.

"Why is your temp so low (98/99)?? And your humidity is dropping(58/59%).."

(LIKE I haven't laid eyes on the thing 20,000,000,000,000,000,000,001 times today).

"It's fine, I said. Temp is 99"

"Well it says 93 right now??"

"That's the one we look at for humidity. Mercury thermometer is at egg level."

"Oh."



I unplugged the turner in the bator next to him so he could hear the peeping. "Come out chickens," he says.

5 hatched so far and 3 have pip'd . eggs was 1 to 23 days old when put in bator and all the action has been from eggs 1 to 9 days old . I will post some pics and more results soon
