These bantams have me stumped. They act very pullet-like (squat down when petting them, very gentle/sweet/quiet, like 3 peas in a pod with no chest bumping or pecking at each other at all… but the base of their combs have been turning pink/red over past week or so even though comb hasn’t grown very much at all. When I’ve looked for pics of similar aged bantams, it seems pullets have more yellow comb and cockerels seem to have much larger and more red comb than mine. I’m guessing they’re about 7-8wk old BYM bantams. I got them May 30 and they were small but already had enough wing feathers at that point to fly out of their brooder box if it wasn’t covered so I’m guessing they were 2-3 weeks old already at that point when I got them.

It's normal for them to show color on there combs at that age. Bantams generally mature quite fast compared to full size chickens. The smaller they are the faster they mature. I wouldn't worry about the sex ratio you'll find out for yourself very soon.

Pullets. Im thinking they are okder though. As they dont usally squat down until a couple weeks before laying.
