Agree, blue pullet- and good call on the first generation easter egger. Pretty bird!Could be an Ameracauna, or a first generation ee.
Hi there, hope you're enjoying BYC!Breed please, thank you
Thank you! Im from MichiganHi there, hope you're enjoying BYC!
Where from?
I see some feathers peeking through on the legs.. indicating possible Easter egger or Olive egger, definitely a hybrid.
Still young but possibly pullet, with nothing screaming cockerel yet.
Excellent, nice to meet ya!Thank you! Im from Michigan
They are from a local amish farm. We ordered many breeds and they were all given to us together without any Indication to what was which.Excellent, nice to meet ya!
Is the chick from a specific hatchery, feed store, friends flock, etc? Sometimes that can help narrow down the breed possibilities.
I'm not sure I agree on the first gen EE thing.. if it were pure bred AM cross to a straight comb *should* be throwing pea or modified pea comb..
I guess the beard is what made me also associate possible AM for the cross.. but other bearded breeds with straight comb and feathered legs would be like Faverolles.. I mean I haven't seen blue Faverolles in the US.. but maybe blue Favacauna.. will be interesting to see what develops!
