Ordered 5 female from MPC and really hoping that's what I have! Mixed flock with 1 each BR, Barnevelder, Buckeye, Blue-Laced RW, and a Swedish Flower Hen. I'm including two photos of the barred rock (my favorite, also the most suspicious) at around 4 weeks for reference re: comb and feather development. Re: behavior--I've socialized them a lot and the BR, Buckeye, and RW are very tame/docile, SF is the boldest but only in it for the food, Barnevelder is very skittish and avoids contact unless all other chicks have come to have treats.
