I too disagree with uniforms. My grade school age kids had to wear them. It cost me more to buy uniforms than to buy regular clothes. Plus you still have to buy everyday clothes on top of it. I had a hard time finding my kids sizes. You still know the poor kids from the rich kids by their shoes, their accessories, their demeanor, blah blah blah. All it does it make everyone wear the same thing. It takes individuality away from the children too.
The excuse that when they get a job they will have to wear a uniform is ridiculous because not everyone will work at a fast food place that requires uniforms and other jobs that do. My husband is self-employed, I am self-employed and we wear whatever we want
Back to the original post, I still think it is ridiculous the child was suspended for two days. Now this will be on his permanent record at school, the child is traumatized and
it isn't like his little pastry could have done any harm!
