Hello..I have a 7yr old Brahma hen. Non laying for 3yrs. She has been wonderful. This morning I noticed her laying alot, thought she was just dust bathing. Went to let both chickens out to free range & she would only walk about 5 ft, lay down. She acted like she needed to poop. Walk a little more, set down in grass & eat.. I checked her out no wounds, checked her feet because she was acting sore, all good. But her vent is pulsating but clean. I massage her belly & crop put her down, she pooped a little but runny dark brown, repeated several times throughout the day, each time she pooped & started to get more form. Does have odor of death smell from her head/neck but she looks great. Not pale.. I did give her water from a syringe with a little oil mixed and massage the crop again. Now when she walks its like really making her breathe harder but she's still doing the same, sitting & eating grass. I broke a fresh egg, she ate it up. Any thoughts?? This is my 1st chicken & Mama is just apart of my family
