I got my AC eggs from Pyxis!!!!! They look good. A couple air cells are a bit saddled but the rest look great!!!!! Ready for the HAL!!! Oh and she sent me a few hybrids as well so I can have 6 eggs incubating!!!! I will be setting at 10 pm tonight after they have their 12 hour rest.
You WILL set ALLLLLLL the eggs ....
I just candled my Ancona eggs that are now on day 21...they are both rocking and rolling in there!!! Yay!!! The death of my old bator didn't hurt them! Actually, I don't know if it's actually dead...I was too mad at it for almost ruining my eggs that I haven't turned it back on... Lol! I set my call eggs and some more Anconas a couple of days back and forgot to tell you guys...oops! I have goose eggs that should be arriving today and I am so excited!
Ooooh...that's exciting getting to surprise him like that.
My husband sounds like yours, he's pretty understanding about things. He asked me what we're going to do with all the chicks (and that was just when I was setting the 18 eggs for the Dec HAL thread. I'll have "almost" 40 eggs all together now. He's a sweetie. I think he's happy that I'm so excited.
Good luck everyone!!!!!
by the way, anyone who wanted to see how I made my egg turner, see the link in my signature.
Got one of them today!!! Woohoo!! They look perfect- tiny air cells, none rolling or loose. No saddles! These are high production layers (Rhode Whites, Reds, and ISA Browns.
Hopefully the other shipment is here tomorrow. That one has the breeder quality eggs and eye candy lol
Yes, It is time to set the eggs!
