Or when you have just put the babies outside, and you hear a horrible noise only to discover it's two wild birds fighting with each other.

No, I sold those. Wasn't intending to especially the three crested ones, but they kept insisting so I did.

    How chickens work:

So, I only had one white Ameraucana laying one egg every other day. I was going to be lucky if i had 6 eggs by the 11th (laid on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th). Then my other white Ameraucana hen started laying every day. So I was expecting more than enough... But now they're both a day behind their schedule, so I'm worried I won't have any.

Chickens never do what I expect...

    Sounds about right! :gig

Just like when mine start laying well and someone wants eggs... sure, they're laying great... and I swear they hear that... suddenly there is a severe egg shortage... :/

They better start laying again :( otherwise I won't be able to join in the hatch along... Unless I use quail eggs, which I just got my first quail egg from today! :) Yay!
