Woo!temps have held steady all night with humidity holding at 35%. No more Marans eggs yet today so I'm not sure if I'll be setting more or not. I have shipped eggs coming next week to slip in there too. They won't count for the HAL but since they're hubby's surprise chicks, they'll be due on his birthday instead

I thought for FOREVER on which on to buy. I wanted to buy the 20 egg Brinsea one, but after more thinking, this one was cheaper, held a little more, and people had great success rates. I hope I have one too, but this is my first time, so we will see! I love the design though, the HUGE viewing lid which I love so much. I love to watch my eggs hatch, but I know with incubators you are supposed to open them as little as possible. With my hens, I can just lift them up. Hopefully this will work.

Put the eggs in yesterday! 14 in all, 5 are ours, and the other nine are from a friend. My friend doesn't have any of the same breeds I do, so I'm gonna have a crazy selection of chicks if I have a good hatch. This is my first time using the IncuView from Incubator Warehouse. Wish me luck!

Ok thanks, will do. The last tracking update was last night about an hour away, so I'm not exactly sure where they are now. Looks like maybe at a sorting facility?? Still waiting to speak to a real person

Everything seems to be going great now, thanks for asking. I think the temp took so long to rise compared to last time since I have over twice as many eggs.

Humidity seems to want to be either 25% or 40% so I'm working on steadying that out. I will try to candle in a few days (or tonight who knows) I have a few I have to hand turn so I'll be opening the bator anyway.

Sounds like things are going well, around low to mid 30's would be..my..ideal.

Is it considered an obsession if I am hatching chicks at the same time I am putting more in for the hatch-along? My husband says ok honey 200 chickens is our limit. He likes teasing me about my fuzzy babies.
