Ended 7th Annual New Years Day Hatch-a-long contest number 6 Gingerbread Contest

Thankyou for the clarification on this. I'm afraid my cookery skills are not up to much

Another member asked me and I just wanted to make sure on the rules, hopefully she will enter

You don't have to cook or bake - can use a kit or graham crackers. And only part of the entry has to be edible. Give it a try

Hey, I could loan you my cat, he is helping me bake. LOL

Graham Cracker Warning:

A tip for those using Graham Crackers - attach them to cardboard, a milk carton or something to give them some strength.

Working on my GB house, made a chicken ramp our of a graham cracker and a slight pressure broke it

.
But got it fixed with some "engineering"..

I bet he is better than me at baking :gig

Thankyou for the offer of his help :highfive:

I've seen the kits, will have a double check if they have any left next time I go grocery shopping. This time of year people are just panic buying :barnie
I wouldn't mind but the shops are only closed Christmas Day!!

The contest doesn't end until the 31st. You will see those kits on the clearance tables after Christmas for a bargain price, just keep your eyes open.

My five year old and I made a gingerbread house today (from a kit). Obviously not winning any prizes, but we had fun

. He had a lot of fun. It has been raining non stop this week, so this gave us a good indoor activitie.

I guess I should add, he pretended the little glob of frosting by the door was a duck nest (we have two ducks) with two blue and one purple duck egg. Like I said, this was just for fun.

I may need to do that with my 4 year old this week... that's an awesome idea and looks like tons of fun.
