Hi y'all, I'm brand new to chicken keeping. Picked up these 4 pullets about 3 weeks ago from a local feed store. I was told they were about 6-8 weeks old.
Lilith the Black Australorp
This girl has a very upright posture. She seems calmer, bolder, and more curious than the other girls. More and more green showing up in her feathers.
Daphne the Buff Orp
These next 2 are going to be harder....
I got 2 EEs, neither of them had tail feathers when I brought them home. This one had pinfeathers growing in, but somehow a few of them broke and started bleeding, causing the other hens to pick at her. Luckily I caught it quick and Pick No More put a stop to that problem. Now her tail feathers are coming in but they look pretty shabby.
Artemis the Easter Egger
And this one still has no tail feathers, but I haven't seen anyone picking at her. She's in isolation right now; went to the vet this morning for vent gleet.
Sweet Dee the Easter Egger
I'd appreciate it if anyone wants to play "guess the gender." Really hoping they're all pullets because I can't keep roosters in my city.
Thanks in advance!
