8 mo old EE still not laying

Ditto me. I too wondered why you thought an obvious rooster would be laying an egg, HAHA! And was about to say that chicken is not an EE. Glad I read the whole post too.

My 25 week old White Leghorn has been laying since her 19 week birthday. My 21 week old AC Ancona hasn't started laying yet.

My now 21 week old EE chicks just started to lay - they are either a mix Araucana and BCM (making them olive eggers) or some other mix combination - anyway they lay a beautiful green egg and both started recently. Smokey laid her 1st egg on 12/31 at 20 weeks old then didn't lay again until yesterday. That's almost a week off! My Bandit laid her 1st at 20 1/2 weeks old on 1/4 and then her 2nd on 1/6.

Some chicks take longer then others to start and with winter being here - well that doesn't help. Hope you get your eggs soon. She's a beautiful pullet btw!

My 26 week old EE just started this week. 1 egg then 3 days later another. Both small and light green/blue.
I do have another EE that is a week older, and nothing. Hopefully she will start soon for you.

My Lily looks like your EE and she is 26 weeks on Monday, NO EGG! But, I'm also waiting on 2 BO's, 1 SLW and a Production Red, so she's not alone

Our EE took forever to start laying, but since she started, she has laid huge eggs almost every day. I think she was eight months when she started.

Mine was about 37 weeks when she started laying last summer. She lays me a beautiful blue egg everyday, even all winter.

My EEs have always been late to mature. My EE is also 8 months old, and no signs of laying but a reddening comb. Just give her time

My EE was exactly 7 months old when she started laying. But now she lays very regularly -- a rock star and worth the wait!

I hope yours starts laying soon.

I have 3 EE's...30 weeks...no eggs yet, I am wondering if it is still not enough day light hours, (I don't supplement) so I may have to wait a few more weeks till there is more daylight.
