8 week old BR sexing

Hi!
I have a barred rock that is the tiniest, and kinda darkest BUT is the only one with a comb and it's a big bright red comb! Hmmm. Could this be a roo and the big lighter ones pullets just based on comb? He also fights more often.

Any help appreciated!

You just blew my mind I didn't know there was such a thing. I'm new to chickens. So. ... that one beside "him" .. barred rock or the hybrid thing?

So sad he's my fav and I'm in a city with rooster ordinances. I'll keep him til sure then find good home for him.

I would try to find him a home as soon as possible, that way he has a better chance of someone taking him.

Supposedly my best friend is taking him but she seems open to multiple roosters bc she has one already and I'm iffy on whether that's ideal or not.

It can be very difficult to rehome males, there are so many trying to find new places to live.
