X 2pullet...there are no hackle or saddle feathers that I can see...and at that age you should be able to see them pretty clearly.

Agreed, I'd say pullet too.I can't tell on this chicken yet, but no, you would not see hackle/saddle feathers at 8 weeks. Generally it is 12+ or even later before you will see those. I've got a yard full of roosters and some of the oldest are just starting saddles at 15-16 weeks.
Right now this chicken looks pullet-ish, but give it a few more weeks to see what happens.

not a sex link. a cherry egger is created by breeding a rir to a new hampsuire. based on comb and wattle development i am leaning towards a pullet right now...re-post when this one is around 15 weeks old, by then if it is a cockerel the cockerel saddle feathers should be visiableSex-link, she sure is pretty though
