8 week old chick with twisted toes

Could be a birth defect, vitamin def, or broken toes... Less likely. At her age not much can be done to straighten them out. If she was younger you could take a section of duct tape and sick her foot on it in correct position and then sandwich another piece ontop of it to keep the toes correct.

Is it going to effect her life then? Or will she be able to be a normal hen?
I can move the toes back and fourth?

She'll probably be a little clumsy, and you may have to trim her toenails more often, check more for bumble foot but she should be fine. I have a rooster similar, he gets bumble foot from time to time but he's about five years old now....

I agree with chickenzoo, we have had chicks hatch this way in the past and have used the tape trick (usually scotch tape or a band-aid for the babies). I have never had an older one with this issue, but I imagine the duct tape would work well to correct the problem.
The ones that I have treated with the tape trick are usually just fine with no after effects.
Good Luck!

I have a little silky cockerel with a toe that's twisted underneath his foot. He limps a little but he's otherwise fine. Is there anything I can do?
