8 week old chicks

How much do you feed 8 week old chicks per day. They have just started chick growers crumble. Cheers.

I free feed my birds from day 1, so idk.

Layers, we now feed morning, noon and evening, which seems to work for us and the little ones, just wanted to know how much feed per bird per day? They are growing well and are very healthy as we started them on medicated chick starter crumble.

When my chickens were that little I just tried to keep their food and water dishes full. They do waste a lot, but that's chickens. Good luck with your wee ones.

My chicks/chickens have feed available 24/7. (Yes, I know they don't eat or drink at night.) I've never tried to ration it.

Agree with @Wee Farmer Sarah and @imnukensc. I would always just fill up my chicks’ little feeder when it needed it, they always do great. Good luck with your babies

As you are feeding three times per day....I would feed what they can cleanup in about an hour...the catch being, assuring each chick is participating in that feeding and getting its fill (the one big advantage of free feeding). Feeder type can help cut feed waste, what feeder are you using currently?
