A black rooster over a light brahma female will give all black chicks. I bet #7 is a cross of jersey giant and light brahma.

i have 10 wk RIR... first pic is pullet....her comb is slightly bigger than my pullet, but is very small compared to my roo,plus his is RED, you can see it a mile away..some pullets will get wattles and combs.
same goes with penelope...that's all i can help with..sorry

I hope you're right! Magellan really is my favorite, he/she is staying regardless, but I'd really like some eggs and not just too many early morning alarm clocks!

honestly, i didn't see anything on them that screams ROO!!!!!!!!!
i can't remember which one, but there's one that only has 1 pic and it's a front shot, so can't really see hackles....
i would put the barred in the hen category because she's moslty dark and the hackles and saddles would be a little lighter if it was a roo...
the others i really would still say wait and see....
the combs are tall, but they're straight combs, and i think my leghorn hen was about there at that age too.. she kept me guessing for a while...

First three are roos...#4...eh...not sure....could be either. Pippa...I think male, but I am iffy.

Gorgeous flock!! Im not seeing anyone screaming roo. My BO hen always seemed to have a comb and be reddish, I just think the light coloring makes it more obvious. If I questioned any it would be #1 and Pipa. I have a BR now who has more comb than I like but I really think shes a pullet- I will wait for crow or egg! Good Luck!!! My Orp roo is the same age as yours and you could tell from day one he was a boy, plus he still has no tail feathers.
