My Bobwhite is still laying almost every day, but the Buttons are starting to fall off (either that or I screwed them up by reassinging roommates
But the Coturnix are laying machines!!!
My understanding is that they really only lay well for their first season. If your quail is older than a year old, you may not get many eggs. They make sweet pets, though.
