Pick the lid straight up and just put it right back down... should suck in some oxygen and puff out some of that moist air...

With all the trays filled with water, I've never had it go over 75%. It's probably that all the hatching chicks (very moist when first out), combined with the sponge led to too much damp surface volume, driving that humidity reading too high.I'm probably being impatient, but I'm not sure if my type of incubator makes things a bit different since the vent hole is in the lid. It's a plastic version. This is before I lifted the lid. The humidity rose dropped to 78 then rose back to 86. I opened again a bit later to retrieve the soaked sponge that was in there. It looks like there's water in all three trays though, and I imagine that's more of a problem than anything. I'd have to tilt the whole incubator to drain water out, or have the lid off for longer possibly compromising the rest of the eggs to soak up some of what is in the trays.

yes it is I have two that pipped externally but now are taking breaks takes all my willIt's almost as fun to watch you all hatch eggs as it is to hatch them myself!
