Before they started hatching it was holding steady at 66% like a champ. I'm going to try to sit on my hands for now and give it time to level out.

Are there any distress behaviors that I need to be looking for with regard to the hatched chicks?

I'm actually one to take out a hatched chick. I know, there are those that would like to slap my hands for saying that. I just always have. Real quick..snatch.

Description:

For Super Blue Eggers, we've taken our favorite egg-laying breed and crossed them with our most vibrant blue egg layers. The result: prolific layers of large, blue eggs. This exclusive-to-us variety is among those Martha Stewart had us deliver to her for her own flock of rare chickens.

Our exclusive "recipe" may be secret, but you'll want to show these ladies off! They start out as adorable yellow chicks who will grow up to be lovely white-with-black-flecks throughout. The Super Blue Egg Layers are friendly and curious, but best of all, they are extremely versatile. You'll find they will do well in both warm and cool climates and produce large blue eggs at an astounding rate--thus the "Super" in the name! Our girls average five to six eggs a week, even through the heat of summer. Super Blues will have pea combs and lay blue eggs. Your ladies will typically begin laying at 22-24 weeks of age, so get ready for a basket full of big, blue gorgeous eggs!

The Super Blue variety is a custom cross, bred exclusively for My Pet Chicken's discerning customers. On average, 15/16 pullets will lay blue eggs when they mature. Please note that because these are first generation crosses (F1), statistically, 1 out of 16 eggs will produce a chicken with a single comb who will not lay blue eggs.

I thought watching my chicks hatch was eggciting. Here's a Live Cam of a Bald Eagle in Meyers, Florida hatching 2 chicks New Year's Eve:jumpy http://www.nbcnews.com/video/watch-live-florida-bald-eagles-await-hatching-of-2-eggs-843388483774

I love this stuff! I usually watch the Decorha feed in the spring. They had to start a new nest for them this past yr. Or was it the yr. before..hmm, anyway, wind finally blew down the one they had used for years. They actually built up the one started for them. Now they have a nice new one. :)

Your question was answered by ron .. those super blues, are just that..really blue. No green tint. And, if laid by one of those leghorn mixes..they get huge!
