No, the incubator is at the ABSOLUTE opposite end of the house.  I am locking my kitten down my end of the hallway tonight, because if there is a lot of chirping, I"m afraid he'll try to investigate and any big crash I hear would probably cause me to kill him before seeing what crashed...

Sounds wise, lol...

Ok I managed to post my video to YouTube but still waiting for it to process. I love all the funny posts you all post. And the cute chicks too. By the way my incubator is on the night stand next to my bed. I'm hoping I wake up for each chick so maybe I can band a few so I know which breeding pen they came from in case I want to breed them myself.

Baskets, hatching bags or nylons would keep them separated so you don't have to catch each one...

After all this, I'm glad they're not near my bedroom LOL

Those of you that pull them out, do you just put them under the brooder? Try to towel dry some before you put them under? Husband is all TAKE THEM OUT, and I'm all BUT THE OTHER BABIES.

#housedivided.

We have a random funny post contest on right now. I am working to get the ball rolling.

The person that posts on the random post number wins a key chain!

I have used tomato baskets before. They work great!

Another question - how long does it normally take the chicks to fluff after they've hatched??

Thanks RavynFallen
I have yet to find a basket that fits but I keep forgetting to look. Here is the link to my video, it's long so you might not want to watch but it was a good hatch.

You can use the movie embed tool. Click the tool on the tool bar and pate in the you tube or vimeo link:
