My gamble on 2+ year old Marans hens paid off. Got 3 for $20. They've been at my house for only 3 days, and one of them laid this today. They were in with a marans rooster at their old home, so the eggs I get should be fertile. Saving any from this week.

I've sourced some Marans and Ameracauna for my hatch (please let me bator be intact and functioning at 100%!) but I'm having a tough time finding Turkens locally! Ugh! I really want some naked neck babies!

Like this little cutie I just hatched..a week ago? Had to buy them shipped.
