This is my IncuView incubator and setup, not Brinsea ;) Although, it was kinda in the price range of a Brinsea lol

I acquired a large animal cage by Living World and am hoping to make it the brooder. I have an electric hen on the way.

Below, you can kinda see how things are pairing up at the moment. Whenever I need to add water, I try to straighten out the eggs. They do tend to roll however the want to in the tray.

Let's just try not to judge the success on what I actually have hatch, if anything

There could be a TON of user error here. After reading the whole thread on the IncuView and having a friend who has it and loves it, it made sense to me to fork out the money for it. That VIEW! I'm going to TRY to wait until Saturday to candle them. In the meantime, I'm going to go back to that thread and see if there are any notes from others that might help me out.

Nice, I have that cage. Let me know how it works as a brooder... I have an extra one after my guinea pig died, and wondered if it'd work....

I have this cage as well, although my guinea pig, Wilbur, is in it. I also thought it would be a great brooder. I don't think Wilbur is willing to part with his home though. Plus, I don't want to risk a respiratory illness- guinea pigs are so sensitive.

I'll be sure to update :) I have a big girl camera so hopefully I can get some better shots with it than with my cell phone. As a budding photographer, that's another thing I'm super excited about - taking chick photos! That's if I survive the next 20 days...

Thank you!

I went back to the thread and asked already, then somehow made it back to the page that talked about similar issues that someone else had. I feel a little bit better since she still had a good hatch after having a couple of 10% humidity days herself. I'm gonna sit on my hands with the humidity where it's at right now and hopefully things will be better than 10% in the morning LOL. Woooooooooooooosaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

I got 9 of them a new home and a pre-order for 6 that aren't hatched yet, today.

Will be setting 22 Silverudd's Blue and my 2 new layer Silver Ameraucana eggs. (your fault @Cynthia12)
