Congrats on all the pips and hatches!!!

My first chick seems to be doing great! It is walking all around, just starting drinking water and pecking at crumbles. It seems very energetic and happy, but I've noticed it's poos where blackish at first and now green and a bit watery. Is that normal!? It's umbilical cord was dragging still attached for a bit and it finally came off. It then had a bright pink spot, now it looks shriveled and darker so I assume it's drying up and healing ok?

All sounds normal!

The poo will look normal soon and the belly will heal fine. If it looks raw, a bit of anti biotic ointment without pain killer can help.

LOL thanks guys The one on its back was the EE/Speckled Sussex but there's a variety in there as well

Now. Serious question time.

**How long should it take for the chicks to fluff up? What can I do if my humidity is too high? I don't have another vent to open. I have two eggs with holes in them and four others that have a small pip. I can't reasonably open this incubator at this point. The digital is reading out around 85%. When the chicks get active after a 15 second nap, it rises again, topping around 87%

Humidity is too high if it is condensing on the view area. You should be fine since I did not notice any condensation in the video.

It can take several hours to over night. Sometimes they are sticky from not completely absorbing the yolk and stuff in the egg. If so, then you can either wash them or let if flake off. Do make sure that the vent is open though.

Sticky chicks are more common with shipped eggs or eggs that have been stressed.

I do see condensation--That is too high of humidity. Can you take out a sponge or something? Empty one tank?

Thank you! Only their daddy is a Mouw bird. The moms were all (sshhh) easter eggers. The lady I got their moms from said they are Amer-i-canas, but we know how that is.  After I set these guys two of my blacks and the blue wheaten from Susan started to lay. Now, those eggs have amazing color intensity. But I'm preaching to the choir here LOL.

Yep, egg color in her birds is gorgeous...

Ummm... dunno... lol... I haven't checked since this morn...

I don't expect much, really early pullet eggs out of my breeding...

How do you lower humidity with out losing heat? The humidity keeps going up with every chick that hatches in my incubator. It's a still air hova bator.
