I think they are ugly, I find no fascination with them at all. They aren't growing on me. Sorry!!!

She was so .. homely...when small..I named her Uggums. She won like third, in the ugly chick contest. I think 3rd?

I'm pretty sure it was 3rd. Don't remember quite right.

Just pulled eggs I knew were past the hatch date (didn't label all eggs stupidly) and opened. Two ROTTED but clear, one upside down quitter, one shrink wrapped quitter, and the rest were clear. I love keeping reptiles, only the foul smelling eggs were thrown out, everything else got "recycled" and I have some very stuffed and happy monitor lizards now. Have another week till the next hatch and then I can clear the incubator and give it a break for a few weeks (if I can restrain myself from setting more eggs for that long!).

Down to one brooder now, my eldest chicks have all graduated to adult pens, but the one brooder is STUFFED with birds. My mom is very much enjoying that I put the brooder right outside of her room so she can play with the babies. For christmas I gave her an "I O U" for a pair of button quail so she is having fun deciding and then re deciding what birds she will want.

Your mom sounds like she's a fun one. Likes the babies as well.

My chicken babys dont hatch for a bit, but my Quail bubs should be here soon..i wonder will this HAL still have some activity in a week or so?
