9 pips, no zips. It's been 6 hours.

I have a question ..... ANOTHER question ....
These last two came out about the same time, and the humidity jumped way up ..... as if they were a water filled sponge! Is that ok? I tried keeping it about 60%, but now it is 77%
I don't want it that high. Will it go down quickly?

Congrats on the first few chicks. I am sure if you have pips and don't disturb the incubator, they will hatch as well. Your chicks can go without food/water for 72 hours (3 days) so don't worry about them. The humidity will go up when chicks hatch. As they start to dry and fluff up, it will drop again gradually. Don't worry about it unless it goes over 100%. This is all part of the process and it sounds like you're doing well. Good luck with the rest of the hatch.

As chicks zipp out the humidity jumps way up. They should be fine but if your concerned open a vent plug. I usualy just leave mine be and ive hatched over 40 at once so the humidity was sky high by the end but only a few didnt make it.

your humidity is naturally going to go up as chicks begin to get out of their shells.. they are wet.. it is like adding wet sponges..

NO, do not remove any plugs as was suggested.. You are having a good hatch. just leave things go on undisturbed.. your humidity will not go to 100%.. and what if it did?
so what? It is only temporary..

you do not have enough eggs in there to make it go too high..

Congratulations!!! Please post pictures when they are finished hatching. I have found that the ones that have hatched encourage the others to get with the program : )
