911 ER help with newly hatched chick.

Thanks.I really wanted this guy to live. My strain can be wing sexed. It looked like he might be the only cockerel out of 6.
thanks for the hug and helps.

Do you want or need a cockerel? I have a 2 1/2 month old French Black copper Marans that I can not keep once he starts to crow. Just thought I would ask, he is full blooded, but may not be what you are looking for. Let me know if you are interested, he looks like he will turn out to be a pretty rooster. He has not been over handled and should not be human aggressive once he starts to mature. Thanks Hope everything works out for you.

It died. Nothing for it but a cup of warm water. It was too much shock for the little guy. Got the gunk off but the shock was taking it before I could get it dry. so I killed it. best for it. Something was wrong with the abdomen too. Very distended and dark. Thank you all for your help this late at night. Well 2 of the 3 assisted chicks are fine. Just lost this one. I guess that's a good thing.
sigh,
Karen

Darn Karen. I’m so sorry :( :hugs

oh thank you all for the support. I really needed that little guy. I will miss him, even the few hours he was with me. he wanted to live so much and just hours too young to make it. ( tears for a little life cut too short) I hope my wing sexing is wrong. I really needed a cockerel. This strain runs very heavy to females. The issue is I am working with all European Light Sussex strains by choice. If the other are all pullets, I have found a place in Canada where I can import European strains next year. I just so didn't want to lose another year before getting a male of breeding age.
Sigh and many grateful thanks for your help,
Karen
