Ok so all of the other local feed stores and tractor supplies i called said this is no longer an in store item it needs to be ordered online and we obviously don’t have that kind of time! Would Tylan another antibiotic i think they said it was is available will that work or no?
@azygous is Tylan antibiotic comparable or no?! I called every local feed store and tractor supplies near me and was told it was pulled from the shelves and now an online only medication! Tylan was mentioned and 3 injectable medications that tractor supply has..duramycin liquanycin & terraycin liquid! That’s it.

My dog and cat vet will agree to do a fecal float on my chickens as a favor if I bring in a sample. If you have had coccidiosis in the past, you may need a sulfa antibiotic (SMZ-TMP or sulfadimethoxine) in case of a resistance to Corid. Tylan can treat some clostridium, but AquaMox amoxicillin is commonly used 57 mg per pound of weight twice a day. Is this a bantam OEG? It might be too late to get those online in time. Chewy sells some things and here is a link for amoxicillin:

I’ve been otp for hours now calling every hospital clinic etc near me including my own vet. No one can even do much as point me in the right direction! And they had blood in stool around august I started them on corid immediately and it cleared up rather quickly! They didn’t show any signs of it or of being sick at all other then I spotted blood in some droppings one of them left behind on my porch! I didn’t do the treatment any longer then I was suppose to! They were on it for 5 days. First day I dosed them all by syringe with liquid as well as mixed the powder version in their water. Is it something i did that caused the immunity ir? This was their first time getting it ever! Other then last night and today i started her on it.

Is liquamycin ok?! I found one left at the tractor supply in Massachusetts! They grabbed it up front for me! I’m driving now. Is there anything else i should get from them that i need? (If they have it of course) and i have to go to separate location on other side of town for needle because Massachusetts apparently cannot provide you with them anymore u have to go to vet or pharmacy. Do i have to treat my whole flock?

The only problem with that is I don’t have that kind of time! For me to have to wait for it to be shipped or something!

She’s a bantam yes. Porcelain Duccle and Golden laced Sebright mix. I don’t have time for shipment! I have to start something right away. So I have no clue what to do! I’ve called several vets clinics and such to point me in right direction and no luck! Only thing they had other then pic attached below was fish penicillin! I’m having a huge dilemma as u can see so my question is..do I continue to treat with corid and order the amoxicillin online and hope to god it gets here quickly then switch to that?! Or what? Idk what to do and so far everyone I’ve reached out to isn’t sure either. Alls i know is my poor baby is feeling shitty and it’s killing me wondering if she’s in pain or not and scared i could potentially end up losing another!

sorry for all the responses! I was talking with my mother and found out she actually has amoxicillin for people it’s capsule form. Could you use that on chickens? If i open the capsule and dissolve the powder into water or something?!

I preach to chicken keepers to order a couple of different antibiotics online to have on hand in just this case. When you are staring down a virulent bacterial infection that might kill in 24 hours without treatment, it's a comfort to be able to go right to the med and get your sick chicken started immediately. I order from this place. https://jedds.com/

Amoxycillin is perfect. It matters not that it's a human prescription. The dose is 250mg directly into the beak, no diluting in water. If you have 250mg capsules, pop the whole pill. If it's 500mg, you will need to divide the contents into two doses.
Omg I’m so happy! I thought it was safe but I like to double check before just giving my animals anything! So I just shove the whole capsule in?!😱I believe she said it’s 250mg. So how many times a day do I do this for and should I do anything else to help her along? Like electrolytes and such. And am I treating all my flocks even if they are in separate coops and runs now that they aren’t free ranging since Oct?

Which antibiotics do you suggest? Other then SMZ-TMP. And should I hold onto the oxytetracycline antibiotic I already purchased just to have on hand or no?
