Oh my gosh! They ARE SO FLUFFY!!! I'm so jealous! I hope I haven't nuked all mine!

My lone turkey is out..... I ended up doing an assist. It is breathing but very lathargic I gave it a few drops of sugar water and we will see but I am not holding my breath. I do have more eggs in lockdown due on Jan 3rd so that is exciting.

I hope your turkey pulls through!

My incubator is freaking out!! I locked down at 3 and its yet to get back up to 99.5 but is reading 103-104° on the face. And my 3 thermometers that are all calibrated and matching exact temp until now are all 3 reading different temps!! 102°, 98°, & 96°! I can tell if I'm cooking the eggs or freezing them, good Lord.. today has not been a good day for chickens at my house. 2 dead and now my hatch is in jeopardy.. Geesh. I need a glass of wine.. and a cabinet incubator.
I may just be celebrating everyone else's hatches this time around.

There are a lot of nice incubators out there. The plastic ones often hold temps better

Agree bad day for chickens. Hope your thermometers come around.
I went to feed last night after helping neighbor with some grading in his yard and found way to many white feathers spread everywhere. Quick check yep leghorn cross is still there and so is the only other hen that would have white feathers. No body to be found. Going to look more tomorrow.
Sorry your hen died.

Yep, something's been poking around my house as well. My LGD keeps barking up a storm at the same time each night. Haven't lost anything since he got big enough to defend everything. He's still very puppy-ish but does very good with my birds and goats.

Thanks im so happy i was able to hatch the ducks out. They made me so nervous!
