HI all! I'm getting a little noivous (that's nervous in Betty Boops voice). My eggs, which are supposed to be here TODAY, still shows it's in transit from IL since 9AM.

I hope they arrive safely!

I can't wait for a baby Banty! I bet it will be the cutest of them all.

Anyone have advice for my plan this Spring if/when Dove(the chocolate orpington) goes broody and I switch out her eggs for baby pullets?

Can you put me as a maybe? I don't have any chicken eggs here to hatch, but my quail should be at laying age now. Maybe I'll get lucky, and they'll bust out some eggs for me in the next 6 days.... (anybody got Isbars/"Silverudd's Blues" or Marans who are laying by any chance who could ship out tomorrow? They'd probably still arrive within the +-2 day deadline)

Do it at night--wait several days though to make sure she is a committed broody. Has she gone broody before?
