Ok so i never took the duck eggs out that i thought may have been blood ringed (i never take any eggs out unless i a 10000000% sure they are not going to continue to grow, anyways they all see to stilp be growing maybe if was just the way i was candeling them.... idk.. they all seem to have great veins now... so maybe i will have 11 duckys??:fl

that is why I still have my incubator but looking forward to always having a silkie to do the work I have 4 for that very reason
Silkies are amazing broodies. All mine are gone now however I still have too many broodies in season here. I’ve yet to try the frozen water bottle to get them stop but I think I will this coming year.

out here we use wire dog crates suspended so the air goes under them breaks them real fast
 
Hi everyone! I just knew i could count on this group to have a Hatch-a-Long going for New Years! I set 42 chicken eggs today at 3pm! This will be my second hatch ever. I finished my first attempt on Dec 3rd, and was instantly addicted. Hoping to have another successful hatch. Ive got multiple Orpington colors, Silkies, Polish, Marans, EE, Brahma mixes, Cochins, and Sussex in there.. Cant wait to follow along!
