I candled this evening and tossed 4 eggs. There were 2 blood rings, 1 clear, and 1 that looked life it had frozen and croaked before I collected it but I didn't see the crack before. The rest either have great veining or I can't tell. One little serama egg, I had cracked really badly when I was setting them (rammed it right in to the turner) has strong veining! I used clear nail polish on the crack which spanned almost the entire way around the egg. I didn't think it had a chance! We'll have to wait and see if it actualy hatches or not.

Thank you for the video it really helped a lot. It appears I my cockerel wasn’t getting the job done yet because all 11 are yokers. The dark spot I was seeing is the yolk floating around no veins at all. So it looks like I’m out on the New Years hatch but I’m getting a janoel 12 from Santa next week so maybe better luck next time. I did crack open a few eggs collected in last week and 4 out of six look fertilized to me what do you think?

My first hatch I tossed 18 eggs that were infertile. It's super disappointing. But looks like the eggs you cracked (at least the 4 I can see) definitely look fertile to me! I'm sure you'll have better luck next time.
