But I love her just the same.. Even though her egg brought the arctic blast w/it

Bantie is one of the reasons I stuck around so long.. She is good people... Frozen.. but my friend..

Trying to throw some Mother/chick pix together. Kinda like a family tree thingy..

All are thriving. Super active. Now on starter crumble. I usually wait a couple days before first feed so they are able to eat without consequences. Vitamins/electrolytes, gonna BE SOME HEALTHY ROOS running around the yard soon enough..

I am 99.9% sure that baby Aurora is a pullet! She has to be since my hatch was very pullet heavy. All 3 of my homemade BSL chicks are pullets and something like 5 of 7 CCL are pullets (only 1 is a definite cockerel)

OK, only 2 of my BSL babies are pullets The white spot on the boy's head was impossible to see when he wasn't quite fluffy yet so I thought he was a she :/ But in other news, I had 2 more CCL hatch overnight (ones that I set a day later). There's only 1 egg left in there and it's peeping! Hopefully it hatches

How's little Ruby doing, @Farmer Connie? On the topic of penguins, I think little Ruby must have some penguin in her too, cuz it is 9 degrees out here today. Grrr. I like the snow, but this cold is too much!

Don't know how true it is but I saw a news blip that said the average temp in continental US was 9 degrees.

We are getting the cold front that my husband had in Oklahoma the past few days. Woke up to icicles everywhere!!
