have you guys put pollen substitute?

I've put out pollen sub. about two weeks ago, weather turned warm, bees were all over the shavings/sawdust in the horse stalls, so I put some out. Had to order more, they were going through about a pound or so a day. Then they slacked off some, and we got some nasty weather for about a week. Looks like I will have to order more though, this week looks to be nice and sunny and warm, nothing blooming. I put out some pollen sub and they. are all over it.

we started putting our substitute in september? because we need 8 frame avg for the pollination . what city are you in

Chickens and bees, what could be better? I am new to both as of 2014 and I'm still getting through the learning curve!

I just saw a video on kickstarter about some people that have invented a hive that has honey on tap & you don't really have to disturb the hive at all. It was too cool!!!! I hope they get the funds & make that baby so i can buy one!
