Yep, mine looked just like that. Keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way, but unfortunately it probably won't. All of my blue-eyed babies now have green eyes on their way to gold or amber, I think.

same here, the girls are huge and combs red at 26 weeks, but no eggs yet! Hope soon!

That's a tough one for me to answer since I didn't actually track eye color with age. I don't know...maybe 10 - 14 weeks I would notice green or gold eyes instead of blue.

One of my girls started laying at 24 weeks, but the other two are nearly 27 weeks now and haven't begun laying despite having long, bright red wattles and combs. My boys aren't interested in mating with those two girls either, and I've noticed that with my Biels, the boys prefer to mate with the girls who are no more than a week from reaching point of lay (POL). In fact, I swear my breeding cockerel is psychic because twice, with my White Rocks, he's suddenly jumped on the girls to mate two days before they give me my first egg.

I have 10 pullets. The first to start laying was at about 5 months. The rest have been laying for awhile there 7-8 months now.
