Just wanted to post a picture of my Bielefelder bunch (originally from Omega Hills Farm). I had a third roo that went paralyzed a few weeks ago (seemed like symptoms matched vitamin deficiency). He had to be put down last week and is out for a necropsy now.

Sure hoping it isn't something contagious. Fingers crossed!

So I have desided that I will get some of this breed but upon looking there are several places offering them for sell. Where is the best place to get them?
Where did you all get yours? What was that experience for you?

I got mine from Omega Hills Farm and they were super healthy and it was a great experience. I would recommend them.

Mine came from Greenfire farms. They are super docile and friendly chickens and I have had the least issues with this breed so far. The cockerel is so tame and a bit of a pig. Offer food and he will be all over you. This was the chick that would always stand on my hand for better access to the oats being offered. He never minded being taken out of the brooder and did not flap or try to escape when being held. If you want a breed that is safe to have around kids this is a great choice.
