A Bielefelder Thread !

Girl 1 Girl 2 is in the back

Girl 3 She is my nicest looking on I think

Boy 1 Boy 2 My favorite

Boy 3

Thoughts on my Babes? I think they are looking pretty good so far. I'm hoping to get a nice looking boy to breed the girls before he becomes tasty stew.

They look great! Nice yellow on the legs, pretty feathering, very healthy and happy looking.

Gorgeous. I have one Biel roo. His coloring seems to be more silvery than the hens. Is that common?

He is at the far end :) Just in case you didn't spot the comb!

How old are they?

Hello DesertChic, I like the new pic of you! I was just going to update everyone on the little mixed chick I got last week. I believe she is a Cream Legbar X Ameraucana. I think I see a tiny patch of mowed grass on the top of her head. Won't she be cute with puffy cheeks and a pouf on her head? She is so sweet, I never raised one chick by itself, it is a very different experience and EASY!

@Chickielady What pretty babies! Have you considered the German word for silver? That is Silber, giving you Silber-biels.
That is a very good idea !
There is a possiblity that these babies I have will be darker, like this bird, which is another one of Bev Davis' Marans, called a "Silver Salmon"
Note the Salmon breast, which is what the original Biels have, a salmon breast, so we'll see !

Either way, they should be very pretty !

of course they turn their back so you cannot see their salmon breast, LOL!

OK, now you can see her salmon breast...LOL.So, if the rest of the bird goes silver, and they have the salmon breast & penciled neck cape...it will be more a Silver-Salmon than a silver crele...so we'll see !

YOU are a very lucky lady !

You bet! Over 35 years together, decades in showing and breeding dogs, encouraging me to get my AKC license to judge, now the "girls" - it would be hard put to ask for more!! And you know what the best part is? He's a FANTASTIC "dad" to our feathered kids!
