you might also consider joining the Kentuckiana Poultry Club. I just joined, and they are a great group of people. The meetings aren't that often, and it's located mainly in Shelbyvilee now. That's where some of the most active members are, and the show will be held there this year. (At the Shelby County Fairgrounds.)

Yeah $175 wasn't such a bargain this morning when I was chasing her down the road at 5 am and not the first time. Now I know why she was so cheap. LOL.

I bet horses are even cheaper right now. I may go to the auction next Wednesday just to see and unload some tack for xmas money.

Which auction is this? The one in London? I've gone back through posts trying to figure out what was where and when

The auction they are talking about every weekend is in Shepardsville, Just down I65 from you. At the Saturday auction, there are mostly goats, some pigs, and maybe a couple of horses. The poultry is sold ou in the parking lot. I have never seen any go through the sale barn. I wonder if they would ever consider this? Whenever I have chickens to get rid of, I hate setting up and waiting for someone to come by. I'd rather just get it over with and go home.

Every second and fourth Monday they have a horse and tack sale. Sometimes they add an extra sale if there is a fifth Monday. I need to go to this and get rid of some tack to.

And there is a horse and tack sale every 1st Monday in Sligo. It's on I71 between Louisville and Carrolton.

I have 3 roosters to get rid of and was wondering is the swap in Shepherdsville still running? Or do I have to wait for spring?

yes it still going on every sat morning, I am going in the morning. I have some peafowl and some sultans that I just dont have the energy to take care of all winter.
