A Bird Swap Meet Every Week! For Central KY

Hey Turbo,

Any of those bantams?

Maybe on one of the Kentucky sites we can list what we have to get rid of,what we want, and everybody pick a date to meet at Shepardsville. Anybody game?

Yolonda

I think that is a great idea, right now I have the following available:

6 gold campine chicks 5 wks old standard size

1 serama roo (reportly the worlds smallest chicken)

silver apricote call drake

I will have available this spring:

pet-breeder quality call ducks in white, grey, magpie, silver appleyard, and butterscotch

serama chicks or eggs

gold campine standard

barred rock bantam

molted or black Jap bantam

standard size ducks

I am looking for some nice barred rocks, and a silver appleyard drake standart size

I could make it to Shepherdsville about any weekend.

Turbo,

Is that Japanese a hen? Mine just died and I would like to replace her.

I have now:

Bantam Cochins 2-4 months old (blue & black)

Bantam Cochin Trio (Blue)

2 Self Blue OEG Cockerel

Partridge Silkies 4 months old

May list more later.

I work every other weekend, so that limits when I can go to Shepardsville. If the weather doesn't turn nice, I may just take hem to that auction I read about.

And Walt says the club will have a website up soon, so I'll keep you updated.

I have a pair of Jap's, I should have some chicks available this spring.

I am looking for a decently shaped silver laced wyandotte hen or a blue wyandotte.....of course finding a blue wyandotte in this area is pipe dream..

Really silver laced wyandotte chicks? Maybe we could work out a trade or something. I should have Jap bantam chicks or eggs around the same time that you have your wyandotte chicks...I really need 2 pullets.

A friend called me today and said he purchased 5 really nice white wyandotte chickens today at the Shepardsville meet.

For anyone who's a fan of the Fairview auctions, the Perrytown Road auction first Saturday of April is always much larger! Perrytown Road off of Hwy. 100 between Scottsville & Franklin Ky. It's been going 23 years. The proper name is Southern Kentucky Hoirse Drawn Equipment Sale.

Turbo,

Yep, Silver laced wyandottes (bantams), I was told that the cock had been shown, I traded a Jersey Giant for him, He's vey nice, good type. The hen I got at a swap in Ohio. She's got decent lacing and type. I also have a partridge wyandotte trio. I have a little of this and a little of that here.

Stephen,

How many birds do they usually have at the auction? I am trying to find one close.

And everybody needs to add Milton,Ky swap to their calanders. It should be on Mother's Day weekend..
